Become part of the global village by supporting the artisan weaving community in Tangier—introducing our bespoke 100% cotton pom-pom hand towel.
This hand towel is the perfect stocking filler or Christmas gift for the teachers, healthcare workers, or hardworking friends and family members—classic and understated, providing a gorgeous sink-side experience when paired with our lathers or hand scrubs.
Teaming up with Virginia Affleck (nickname ‘Pin’), owner and Founder of Made in Tangier, we’re proud to be bringing Moroccan artisan wares to The Grampians Goods Co. family.
More Details
Pin originally hails from Western Victoria, but now lives in the vibrant and bustling city of Tangier—worlds away from her Victorian farming upbringing and nostalgic memories of family picnics in the Grampians (Gariwerd).
We’re honoured to be able to connect with Pin to bring you this pom-pom hand towel and to support the Moroccan artisan weaving community in the process.
Supply Chain Transparency
Pin liaises directly with the local weavers, through both a trusted translator and the small amount of the darija language that she has picked up whilst living in Morocco.
She has a strong relationship with her suppliers; she told us ‘The artisans I work with are the most magical people—everything is translated to me and I’ve never seen such gratitude in my life.
Each person has a different personality and story, some of which are incredibly hopeful, others heartbreaking. But they never stop smiling and their work is awe inspiring.’
