Additional Information
Occupied by Scottish settlers, our town (originally known as Mount Sturgeon) was renamed Dunkeld after a small town in Scotland. So with that in mind and in tribute to the origin of the name ‘the Grampians’ thus titled by surveyor and explorer, Lieutenant Colonel Sir Thomas Livingstone Mitchell after the Grampians mountains in his native Scotland, GGCo. has curated these luxe wool authentic Scottish tartan blankets.
“What’s recycled wool?” I hear you ask! Basically pre-loved garments, blankets, and offcuts from the mill are gathered, sorted into complementary colour groups and then put through a process where they are shredded, spun and made into new yarn and from there, woven into new recycled products – like these blankets! Recycled wool is a sustainable and eco-friendly solution but the diverse components can mean variations in colour shade and tones from time to time, however they are all beautiful.
Perfect for snuggling up in the cooler seasons and for picnics, carnivals & festivals of all sorts in the warmer months, these classic accessories are as practical a home furnishing as they are a travel comfort or thoughtful gift.
