Is the material of the blanket waterproof?
Our all-weather wool and picnic blankets are lined with an Australian-grown and made waxed cotton/oilskin backing, making them ideal for picnics even on dewy moist ground. Additionally, wool can absorb and release moisture, holding as much as 30% of its weight without feeling damp and cold to the touch, making it the perfect material for picnic rugs.
How do I properly clean and care for the blanket?
Airing woollen blankets in the sun is a very effective way of refreshing them.
You could wash your Check Wool Blankets on a gentle wool cycle in the washing machine with cold water and wool detergent. However, to preserve them for longer, we recommend you handwashing instead.
If there are any stains, gently spot clean with warm water and wool detergent, then hang out to dry.
